Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL) has announced an enhanced partnership with SynMax, a prominent U.S.-based satellite data analytics provider. The expanded contract allows SynMax to integrate Satellogic's advanced, high-resolution imagery into its Hyperion platform to improve monitoring and analysis of oil and natural gas production for hedge funds and financial analysts.

As part of the agreement, Satellogic will significantly expand its coverage, tripling the number of monitored wellheads across North America to over 100. This expansion enables SynMax to deliver near real-time updates on drilling rig and frac crew activities, giving analysts a sharper tool for predicting short-term shifts in oil and gas production at individual wellheads.

This collaboration underscores SynMax's mission to address the growing demand for precision data in the financial sector. The enhanced monitoring capabilities will facilitate the tracking of new wellheads globally as they become operational. Satellogic's superior imaging frequency and accuracy are driving a new wave of investment intelligence in commercial energy markets.

"Satellogic's cost-effective, high-frequency, high-resolution imagery offers a significant advantage over traditional ground-based and observational methods of monitoring," stated Mark Carmichael, VP of Sales at Satellogic.

Innovating Investment Intelligence

Eric Anderson, co-founder and CTO of SynMax, emphasized the critical role of the partnership in achieving SynMax's goals: "SynMax is committed to delivering actionable insights that drive investment alpha. Our partnership with Satellogic enhances our ability to provide clients with timely, accurate production data to inform their trading strategies. We look forward to a continued and growing partnership."

AI helps researchers dig through old maps to find lost oil and gas wells
Berkeley CA (SPX) Dec 05, 2024
Scattered across the United States are remnants from almost 170 years of commercial drilling: hundreds of thousands of forgotten oil and gas wells. They are often out of sight and out of mind - a hazardous combination. If the wells weren't properly plugged, they can potentially leak oil and chemicals into nearby water sources or send toxic substances like benzene an ... read more
