Europe critical of Polish shale gas laws

The Polish government is referred to the European courts because of the lack of environmental oversight in shale gas drilling, the European Commission said. The European Commission said it was referring Poland to the European Union's Court of Justice for its lack of safeguards against the potential environmental impacts of exploratory drilling.
