What cheap gas? Some automakers still push electrics

Cheap fuel prices are not deterring some automakers from building up their offerings of alternative fuel vehicles. But the 50 percent fall in the gasoline price in the United States is making electrics and hybrids less competitive with gas-fueled cars, and making it harder for companies to boost investment in alternatives in a market that is back in love with guzzlers.
