Baghdad oil disputes with Kurds deepen
Baghdad (UPI) Jan 24, 2013
The confrontation between the Iraq's government and the semiautonomous Kurds has intensified as Baghdad negotiates with British oil giant BP to operate in territory both sides claim. At the same time, Baghdad has threatened to cut the Kurdistan Regional Government's budget if the Kurds go ahead with a plan to independently export crude oil to Turkey.
